I have been a part of the live music industry here in Cincinnati for almost 20 years. As a production manager I would get so many photographers wanting to shoot the shows and honestly I didn’t understand the desire to do this until now. I did take some photography courses during my brief time in college. I was also lucky enough to help build and learn how to develop film and photos in a darkroom while in high school. While I was a young adult I didn’t consider it as a possible career choice but did find it fascinating.
As 2020 started to unfold I found myself stuck at home with no shows for any of us to go to let alone shoot. After buying a DSLR for my wonderful girlfriend as a Christmas gift, I got hooked as soon as I felt it in my hand and had to get my own. I started teaching myself the basics and off I went.
I look forward to learning more and applying my knowledge to my amazing life I get to live. And now I get to share it all with you. Enjoy.
My goal here is to take quality photos while being smart about equipment purchases. I don’t want to crop or over process my photos in order to force me to take time to really think about the composition and get the exposure right.
